A learning disability affects the way a person understands information and how they communicate. Around 1.5m people in the UK have one. This means they can have difficulty:
It is thought that up to 350,000 people have severe learning disabilities. This figure is increasing.
Our personal home care services support the elderly and frail, physically disabled, learning disabled, or those with mental health illness with personal daily routines at home that may be impossible to do alone, or have become more difficult.
This kind of support can range from:
Do you need help with any domestic tasks around the home? Maybe you need an extra pair of hands to help clean/tidy the house? Is there some laundry that needs to be tackled? Whatever the domestic task we can be there to assist you. All our staff are fully vetted and CRB checked so rest assured you are in safe hands.
Our Domestic services include:
A significant and increasing number of service users experience challenges arising from the onset of dementia and/or Alzheimer’s.
We provide specialist training to our carers to ensure that they can assist and support those of our service users in these situations
Our enablement based care service is designed to offer pro-active support to service-users to regain, maintain and develop their skills, confidence and thereby independence.
This includes working in partnership with the service user to create a support/care plan with clear outcomes to provide the short term support needed.
We help people “ to do” rather than “doing to or for” people.
